Glentoran arrive at Taylors Avenue having picked up a third consecutive win on Tuesday evening, coming back from a goal down to defeat Portadown at The Oval, with goals from MJ Kamara and Patrick Hoban. This win followed wins over Linfield, on Boxing Day, and at home to Coleraine.
The 'Gers picked up a third draw in their last four games on Tuesday night, recording a 2-2 draw at Seaview. Having gone a goal down, Jack Scott and Billy Joe Burns put the 'Gers in front at the break, before Kurtis Forsythe levelled for Crusaders. Tuesday's first-half performance from the Amber men was one of the best seen this season and Stephen Baxter will be hoping his men can deliver the same for 90 minutes on Saturday.
The sides last met at Taylors Avenue in the County Antrim Senior Shield in October, that tie finished 2-2 on the night before the 'Gers netted all five penalties to win in the shootout.
Stephen Baxter remains without without Ethan Boyle, Nedas Maciulaitis (both knee), and Cameron Stewart. Joe Crowe (rib), Jimmy Callacher (hand), Kyle Cherry (hamstring), Seanan Clucas (knee) and Nathan Gartside (quadricep) are unlikely to be involved having picked up knocks in recent weeks. Jack Scott has returned to Coleraine FC following the end of his loan agreement.
