SNF at Shamrock Park

The ‘Gers make the trip to Shamrock Park on Saturday for an evening kick-off against 7th placed Portadown.

Following a first league win in 12 outings, Carrick boss Stephen Baxter will be hoping his men can build on the victory over East Antrim rivals Larne on Tuesday evening, which came thanks to Joe Crowe’s last-minute winner, and secure consecutive league wins for the first time since October.

Saturday’s hosts Portadown come into the tie having picked up 8 points from their last 10 games, and will be looking for a change of form after most recently recording back-to-back league defeats against Ballymena and Coleraine.

The last time the sides met was at Shamrock Park in November when a last-minute deflected strike from Shay McCartan rescued a point for the Ports after Paul Heatley scored for the ‘Gers. That tie was one that Rangers will feel they should have won comfortably having squandered multiple first-half chances.

Jack Hastings is available for selection again whilst the ‘Gers await updates on Ross Glendinning, Cameron Stewart and Ethan Boyle. Stephen Baxter confirmed after Tuesday evenings victory that Paul Heatley is unlikely to feature having picked up a knock.

A reminder that kick-off for this tie is at 5:30pm at Shamrock Park. Your support, as always, would be greatly appreciated and below, you can find information for ticketing arrangements.
