Preview | Carrick Rangers vs Glentoran

Glentoran are the visitors to Taylors Avenue this evening as the ‘Gers continue their Sports Direct Premiership campaign.

Stuart King will be looking for a response from his side following the disappointment of a 3-0 defeat to Loughgall six days ago.

Having kicked off the new campaign with a victory against Glenavon, Rangers failed to back that up at Lakeview Park last weekend as the Villagers registered a comprehensive win.

Tonight, in a contest that will be streamed live on BBC iPlayer, Carrick look to get back on track as they host Glentoran.

While ‘Gers players Luke McCullough and Seanan Clucas are just two examples of the many summer departures from the Glens, Declan Devine has also welcomed several new additions to his panel such as goalkeeper Daniel Gyollai and winger Dylan Connolly.

After opening the season with a loss to Crusaders, this evening’s opponents improved their fortunes with a win against Portadown followed by a draw against Coleraine on Tuesday evening.
