Carrick Rangers FC is thrilled to announce its support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation
A generous donation to the Club by a third party has enabled the women's team, Carrick Rangers Falcons, to donate its front of jersey space to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), raising awareness of the global non-profit's mission to end breast cancer. BCRF is the largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world.
In support of the cause, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation logo will appear on the front of all CRFC Falcons training and match day shirts as well as sponsored social media for the 2024 season.
"Breast cancer impacts virtually everyone. If you aren't impacted directly, you most likely have a loved one who is. The work that BCRF is doing to end breast cancer is simply amazing,” said Michael Smith, majority owner of Carrick Rangers FC. "One of the most important factors in survival rates is early detection. I am delighted that Carrick Rangers Football Club can provide an additional platform to raise awareness and research funds through this partnership."
“We are so grateful to the CRFC Falcons for providing us with this coveted platform to raise awareness of the urgent need for research,” said BCRF President and CEO Donna McKay. “Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the world and incidence is on the rise—it is truly one of the most urgent public health issues of our time. Research is the reason we are saving lives and it is the only way we will eradicate this disease once and for all.”
The Club will announce additional efforts to support BCRF and their mission to end breast cancer through the course of the calendar year.
