Rodgers joined the ‘Gers in August 2018 from Ballyclare Comrades and immediately formed a backline bond with fellow centre-halves Mark Surgenor and Caolan Loughran.
Rodgers racked up 34 appearances in his first campaign at Carrick, netting three goals.
On re-securing Rodgers’ services ahead of the new season, Niall Currie commented,
“I am delighted for Chris. When we brought him in, we were in trouble and his arrival gave us a real lift. He has had an outstanding season and now has the opportunity to play in the Premiership again. He deserves that opportunity so it is great to have him on board again.”
Rodgers was also pleased to be staying on, saying,
“I am absolutely delighted to be staying at the club for the foreseeable future. I didn’t really have anything to think about, as I have enjoyed this season. I came to Carrick given that it was a great platform to get to the Premiership and it was amazing to achieve that. Being involved with this group of people has been fantastic and I am looking forward to next season.”
Congrats, Chris! #AmberArmy
